Here\’s me experimenting with Adobe Lightroom (can you tell?), which I just bought. It makes it much easier to edit images, and it allows me to do a lot more. However, it is something different and I have spent hours trying to get things right (I can be perfectionist at times). So this is me giving up and uploading what I\’ve got – the watermark doesn\’t seem as crisp as usual and the image looks over-sharpened, or is it just me?
As to the photo itself, I took it on the weekend of the Rugby World Cup final, when I was in Tauranga helping with the Rena oil spill. Among the 50 shots I took of this cat, very few of them showed any form of compositional creativity – this photo just goes to show how important that is. Oh, and yes: I was lying on the ground when I took this (you always know it might be a good photo if you\’re doing something crazy to take it).
